I don't know if any of you remember me, but, I used to be quite active on the forum, and attended all the gatherings...still have my Z.
I tried selling it a few years ago, just a few tire kickers. My car needs a new set of shoes, any suggestions ? thanks, Keith |

Michelins if you’re feeling spendy, Sumitumos if you’re mostly touring and thrift is called for, Nitto 555 GII hit a sweet spot between the two.

Glad you are still part of the gang Keith, I just put on some Nitto 555's and pretty happy with them so far, did the drag radials on the back.

Recently I did a lot of research on "race" tires that were designed for heavy cornering but DOT rated as approved for the street.
I ended up with the NITTO NT05 102W rated tires. I presently have the other NITTO street performance tires and are not happy with them. Their compound is too hard, made for longevity instead of traction. I need the traction and don't much care about longevity. I don't drive so many miles and my tires time-out before being worn out. The compounds age out in about 5 years. Then they get harder, stiffer & not safe at speed.
