Re: Ye Olde Wheel Shop
Good to know 'the boys' are still at it. Every time I've been there I need to do a 'walk around' and check the inventory. Some very interesting wheels around. I haven't been there in maybe 10 years.
Without a heated booth there isn't any paint going on. Was John's wife there today? I assumed wife - never thought to ask. I'm quite sure it was John's Son I spoke to last time I was there and dropped off. Maybe I'll visit and ask. I had an interesting experience there once. I had a single A-mold a 'tire boy' had scuffed(not curb rash), only scuffed and John asked where the other 3 were. He wanted to flange match the entire set vs just clean up one flange. I gave him all 4 to do. Last edited by WVZR-1; 04-07-2018 at 12:04 PM. |

Re: Ye Olde Wheel Shop
Great support Charlie!
Robert, how did you decide paint code & color. I have a set of Gen 1 Dymags that I'm choosing possible color for. 1. Corvette Sebring Silver 2. A-mold Silver 3. Dymag Argent Silver 4. PVD chrome wheel coating Body color is '96 CE, A-mold paint is dazzling when new, Argent seems too flat, the PVD is a cloudy chrome. The 18" OZ Futura's I recently picked up also have a nice silver color and durable finish for 20 years old.
