Yours is what I'd have expected I might have tried to ID the thread and use a mating male fitting of sorts. I would have thought choosing the option of threading the ID of the tube a better choice could have been made. Your choice works for you so it 'matters NOT'! I learned this from Marc Haibeck:
It uses a compression clamp (and special tool) called a Oetiker clamp. #7 in above drawing. Look it up! Found it! Jerry's Gaskets (of course!) http://www.jerrysgaskets.com/clamp-e...new-90-95-2c4/ zr1assassin: If you use the EGR system, its a compression connection egr to nipple on exhaust.
