2019 ZR1
"The whole front clip of the ZR1 is carbon fiber, and it gives the car an entirely different look than the suddenly “lesser” Corvette models. Unlike some earlier ZR1 models, no one is going to mistake your car for anything other than it is: The king of the hill. "
https://www.cheatsheet.com/money-car...ette-ever.html "Lesser" Corvette models"? Mabel, get the gun. Well, it is fast (210), it has more ponies(755), it still has an ugly butt, but at least the front is improved. Don't think I'll be cashing out the grandkids inheritance to buy one though. 'Crabs

Re: 2019 ZR1
I read that as "lesser same-year models". Like, many of us wish they had done with the C4 ZR-1 (Have the ZR-1 model more distinguishable from the base Corvette). :-)

King of the Hill.....Nah. I'm partial to my King.

Re: 2019 ZR1
There’s only one King of the Hill and it kinda bothers me the hear the term tacked onto anything other than a ZR-1. ZR-1 as in C4. I checked out that site, the author should stick to writing about dead beat celebrities and garden knomes. You can always tell when a no knowledge writer does a story about something they know nothing about. The King of the Hill reference was clea my made from a little research. But some press is better than no press.

Re: 2019 ZR1
There's no denying the engineering in that car with Aerodynamics, electronics, and engine management is impressive. Being an engineer I can appreciate it's a highly capable vehicle. With all that, I really wish GM would adopt some more organic lines for this car.

Re: 2019 ZR1
The new ZR-1 looks like a rice burner on steroids. The lines are ruined by all the aftermarket looking tack on trim pieces and wing. It’s tacky. At least that’s what I’ve decided.

If you like the C7R, then you’ll like this car. It’s not a sleeper like our ZR-1’s.

Re: 2019 ZR1
I'm still holding out for a DOHC, mid-engine GT style Corvette, if I should live so long. I've been a Corvette guy since puberty, and a dyed in the wool SBC fan before that, up until I experienced the LT5! So, if GM doesn't offer one again in a Corvette, preferably a mid-engine Corvette, I'm going shopping for a Ford GT 40 and kiss GM off forever...if I live so long...
Boy-yo-boy, that'll get the boardroom quaking in their shoes, huh?
