So, I'm reading my "Heart of the Beast", page 55 says "Chevrolet would offer an unprecedented warranty with the LT-5: if the engine ever suffered a mechanical failure for any reason, the engine wold be replaced at no cost."
Anyone? |

They sort of did it, as you likely know. If the car suffered any engine internal problem, they, while under the original 36 month warranty, would remove and replace the engine. Sticky lifter; new engine. Failed chain tensioner; new engine. As I recall there were not very many such failures. ( still have not been ) Marty |

Is it still valid? Says lifetime. It's probably on the shelf with our dyno sheets.

It certainly is valid.
One catch. You have to visit either a Pontiac or Oldsmobile Dealer as they are the ones that honor it. Marty |
