I am replacing the injectors on my 1990 ZR1 and would like to know if anyone has replaced the primary injector "O" rinds that are down iside of the fuel rail? Or if this a critical item to replace?
Thanks |

I'm guessing you mean the o-rings inside the injector housings. Take your fingers and lightly go over them and feel for any nicks in the rubber. If all is well, put a little silicone grease on them and forget about it.

Let me know if you need any. I've got some for less than that.

tony , I will try to get to the napa store today and get back to you . could be a little tough as it snowed 16 inches last night here in mammoth.. have to shovel my way out . are the o rings you need only for the primary in the housings or do you need them all . ie the bottem and top for the secondary and top for the primary.? if you need these I have alot of extras . please pm me your mailing address and i will give you alittle xmas present. jeff is right though you can reuse the ones in the housings. what i did on the ones i reused is take a shop rag and twist it up ( remember the rat tail we used to snapp each other with in high school)soak the small tail end up and run it through the inj hole to clean off any dirt . I only had to replace 2 . To remove them i used a Ice pick . and very carefully pull it out . remember alluminum is vey soft . hope this helps Happy holidays
