Jeff - I am new to ZR1's, so please forgive my ignorance, what is that to the left for your power key?

remote unit for the valentine 1 radar detector. I used a center dash piece from a base car. Cut out both holes.

Jeff-Nice. By the way, I am the guy you were talking to in GA about porting and powder coating. As soon as I get the courage to take my engine apart, I am going to send you the parts to be powder coated and ported.

Oh hey... Hello!

Removing the cam covers is not that difficult. It just takes time. Plus I'm available for tech support pretty late since I'm on the west coast.

Jeff - I looked at the instructions on your web site. It scared me a little, to say the least. I will have to learn a lot more about the car before I will be comfortable with taking it apart. You can bet as soon as I do I will be sending you the parts. The pictures I have seen of your powder coating look fantastic.

Jeff will "git `er dunn" for you, his work is top notch. I'd be having him do mine if I wasn't parting ways with Blue soon...

Re: Bose, another saying is "no highs and no lows, it must be Bose".

i had speakers sent in to bose...they rebuilt them completely and i think charged 140 per speaker. In hindsight....probably should have just bought something else. I am still not happy, but what can i expect out of 17 year old speaker technology. afterwards, I did replace the head unit w/ a pioneer premier unit w/ ipod controls, which gave me much more control over the sound I was looking for....overall it was damn well worth it to swap it out, i have my full ipod that just plugs in and sits in the center console while the head unit itself controls the ipod. also a cd player that doesnt skip, which i have only used once since the ipod is so much easier. I may potentially put in a subwoofer later....but i desire some cargo room, so kinda put that on the back burner.

Speakers are original. Amps have been rebuilt. Sound is probably as good as new but still not great. My ZR1, however, is one car that I've never needed the sound system for entertainment - I just like to listen to the engine purr. Been as far as Washington D.C. to Chicago and never got tired of listening to the engine. I'm replacing my Triflow exhaust with a Corsa as we speak; will have to see if banging through the gears remains as entertaining with the Corsa exhaust.
