On the Mercury Marine DOHC head for Gen 3/4 V8s, while there was a lot or rumors in 2014 and an "announcement" at SEMA a year ago, there is no evidence I can find that MM ever realeased any of those heads.
As for the C8, my guess is it will have a Gen 3/4/5 OHV V8 engine and maybe electric motors driving the front wheels. GM is working on a new DOHC V8 but it's a smaller displacement engine intended for turbocharging and use in a Cadillac product. I will be surprised if there is a version of that coming in a Corvette.
