On the Mercury Marine DOHC head for Gen 3/4 V8s, while there was a lot or rumors in 2014 and an "announcement" at SEMA a year ago, there is no evidence I can find that MM ever realeased any of those heads.

As for the C8, my guess is it will have a Gen 3/4/5 OHV V8 engine and maybe electric motors driving the front wheels.

GM is working on a new DOHC V8 but it's a smaller displacement engine intended for turbocharging and use in a Cadillac product. I will be surprised if there is a version of that coming in a Corvette.

That would be disappointing. For the same reasons OHV is used in past cars, trucks, Comaros, and too Corvette, wouldn't the same arguement used against the LT5 also apply to using a unique motor (again) in a single GM product - unique to Cadillac?

Hope you're "tea leaves" are mistaken, Hib!

My WAG is that, in re: the coming, small, DOHC V8, Cadillac will get the first shot at it. After that, I think it possible that GM could put it in the mid-engine Vette.

We all going to know what engine is in it in about a year and perhaps sooner.

Did you guys notice that the original article that Paul referred to was posted back in May?
Has there been any reporting on this since?
