Re: Who can read my unknown chip?
Z-Industries answered my email and they are convinced they never touched this chip.

Re: Who can read my unknown chip?
Nah. That was if you were using your current chip as a starting point. If you're getting a new chip from Marc (a great idea), he'll probably suggest a good starting point based on what you tell him about your car. There's a good chance he'll get it pretty close.

Re: Who can read my unknown chip?
I just sent him the chip this morning, he told me he was going to read it. So from now on my ZR-1 is officially out of service (and I don't like it).

Re: Who can read my unknown chip?
Yeah, unfortunately that's one of the disadvantages of tuning via postal mail. That's why I suggested going to the dyno as a first step to see how close your chip was to ideal AFR. You might have found out it was fine, or at least would have learned which direction you needed to go, and at what RPMs.
But, having said that, there's probably no one better than Marc to get it right. |

Re: Who can read my unknown chip?
I agree, if there is a stopwatch involved in measuring your performance.
For many of us, assuming our driving is 99+% on public roads, a few more or less HP wont make a big difference in how much we enjoy our cars. |

Re: Who can read my unknown chip?
It has nothing to do w a stopwatch. I'm talking about driveability, mpg, emissions, startup, acceleration. The areas of the tune that control 99.9% of the time we drive our cars.
