A very dear friend of mine sent me this PIRATE treasure trove some years ago.
He's gone now, but he will NEVER be forgotten.
Jim, you were a great man and a wonderful friend.
I miss you.
We miss you.
The world is a lesser place without you.

Wonder if this is the same pin?

The celebrity all-star banquet and auction contributed greatly to the Museum by raising over $13,000. The top auction bid was $3,100 for a very limited-edition lapel pin specially designed to commemorate the World Record Run. At the banquet, these pins were presented to the drivers of the record-breaking ZR-1, and Dave McLellan, Chief Designer of the C4 Corvette. Designed by Larry Murry, owner of Esquire Jewelry in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the last pin was auctioned to benefit the Museum.

It's been seven months and 10 days since Jim moved on to a better place.

I miss him, too.

No doubt, if there is a Corvette road racing team on the other side, Jim is the Team Manager.
