All good advice. I like Paul's suggestion to "divide and conquer" by splicing into the purple wire. When I had a no-start issue, it was very handy to have that wire available under the hood to help me get the car started until I was able to do a permanent fix.
I still don't know exactly what my problem was, but now it has the "relay mod" (a good idea) and VATS bypass, and I haven't had a no-start situation since. And I still have the emergency wire under the hood just in case. |
