I had to do it a few weeks ago, I made sure I had "the key" with me. They were good though, most of the time it was in front of the hotel.

I would never drive a ZR-1 daily but that's just me. IMO, the Car is way to rare and cherished to drive daily.

I look at it this way. I'd rather drive something amazing and cool every day, than be stuck in some shitbox, staring at my amazing and cool car in the garage. This way I get to have fun all the time, instead of waiting for the right conditions on the right day. I've daily-driven lots of interesting stuff over the years (including the 308 for a while), and it's just more fun that way. Have a rough day at work? Jump in the Z, take the long way home and blow out the cobwebs. I highly recommend it.

It would be nice to have that option. Unfortunately, where I live the freeways (91,60,10) that I drive on a regular basis are no place for a 6 speed manual . It would be fun to drive it most days or daily though. Weekends and the occasional taking my son or daughter to school trip are what I've been doing. Even though they look great parked, these cars were made to be driven!

405 here. Pop the clutch at the meter light. Slam on the brakes 100 feet later.

Drove a 90 ZR-1 for almost 2 years working between Atlanta and Tampa every other week, never failed or let me down.

I was almost ready to just drive my 91, but I hate leaving a triple black car out in the sun since there is no covered parking opportunities at work. I drive a '12 Mustang and got rid of a diesel golf to buy it. I spend about 60 minutes everyday in a car- may as well be a 400hp one.

I did genuinely enjoy DD'ing a 300 hp LT1 C4. Every now and then some BMW would clean your clock at a light, but a C4 is still fun when you take the twisty roads home.

I still say that unless you are trying for a sound investment and buy an extremely low mileage, perfect condition, well documented, all stock ZR-1, and don't drive it at all, you might as well drive your car. I put 74,000 miles on my 93 (now around 140,000 miles with new owner) and have put 12,000 on my 95 since I bought it (now up to 32,500). I even had a picture (can't find it now) of my QB 93 in the garage with the entire cargo area filled with grocery bags but with drag racing numbers still on the glass. I had been at the track with my daughter and we stooped for groceries on the way home. --Bob
