Re: iTPMS
I recently installed the Dill 2G TPMS system that Tire Rack offers. I think that it is very nice. It displays tire pressure in PSI and tire temperature. $279.

Re: iTPMS
Thanks Marc. Looks pretty cool. I'm not thrilled with having to install that head unit, shame it didn't work on my phone. Does the unit have batteries, or does it need to be plugged in?
How do we disable the factory TPMS? |

Re: iTPMS
I looked at some of the phone based set-ups but decided against that as I wanted the tire info in front of me full time rather than on a multifunction device... something to consider.

Re: iTPMS
I saw an article a while back for a company called FOBO tire. They had a neat unit that replaces your valve stems and relays the info to a hand held device that could be mounted inside the vehicle. Was pricey though but looked neat. I book marked the site just in case.

Re: iTPMS
The display is about 3" x 1.5". I mounted it with a fabricated bracket on the cluster ledge to the right of the steering column.
The display needs to be connected to vehicle power. The best way to eliminate the LTPMS error lights is to remove the bulbs. |

Re: iTPMS
I'd think maybe the FOBO system deserves a look BUT it's certain draw-back could be the bulk of the "on stem" transmitter. That aside it eliminates the need for a separate dash display. I've not had a "hands on" but I believe a friend has bought or is considering for his motorcycle. I'll need to ask.
http://www.gizmag.com/fobo-bluetooth...-system/33754/ https://my-fobo.com/ It seems the + version comes with an alarm so that if indeed you left home without your phone the alarm function would still function through that additional component. Transmitter dimensions are included in this specifications reference: https://my-fobo.com/Product/FOBOPLUS#specifications At an inch+ very little it certainly is bulky, remove for shows and displays maybe? It certainly would be conversational. A person if serious and did a substantial amount of driving could add these to the inboard wheel section behind a wheel spoke maybe for a sight unseen install.
