Changing from red to brown would be a big job, it would be easier to just tone down the red if that's what you're starting with. IMO the factory red interior is too much red, I especially don't care for the red carpet. I did my own red/black interior starting with a black interior car, some of the pieces I used were factory and others are custom upholstery shop work.
