the car was clean but not impressive in person. the windshield was delaminated big time like a lot of 1995's. This was part of Roger Judski's collection of Corvettes. His brickyard 400 lt-1 convertible fetched 25k. I did not see what his 6 mile 1993 Burgundy Vert went for but it was impressive looking. I guess the most impressive ZR1 that I saw was the 25 mile 1990 that was ordered new by Ronald Reagan transportation secretary. It was mint and showed well..believe it went for 31 or 35k cant recall exactly. Our cars are unique but disrespected. Nobody wants to talk about them but when I bring it up most people remember and immediately get excited about the day the ZR1 LT5 came out to the public. Some people dont even know Chevrolet even sold a 4 cam corvette!

Ed,
My 95s windshield is the same but barring that what was not impressive about the rest of the car?
My car was bought from Rodgers in 2009 for close to 59K Kevin

No doubt Roger Judski has some of the finest collection of low mileage Vettes anywhere. I dont know where he finds them but every year I go by his place and it is just one after the other. He usually has many that have less than 10 miles without dealer prep. how do you find that?? the 1995 was not bad looking but it just didnt pop to me like some of his other ones. He had a new non dealer prep 1988 white anniversary car with less than 10 miles. He had a 6 mile anniversary convertible that was very impressive. His 25 mile 1990 just looked mint, paint, windshield etc.. I just find it a shame when I see a nice 1995 with a bad looking windshield. I know it is not the cars fault but GM should have done something about that years ago. This 1995 had 1800 miles and was a Roger Judski quality car but the windshield, to me, is just a big distraction. I would swap out a reproduction windshield and take the NCRS deduction.

It had a very strange delamination stripe about 3 inches wide going right down the middle of the windshield along with the usual big delamination all around the sides. Big distraction on a good car. I am sure it deminishes its selling ability to some possible bidders. If I would bid on a car like that I would take that windshield and the rarity of it in to account and adjust my bidding accordingly and offer less than it should really go for. What does a NOS 1995 windshield go for now days?? a ton I am sure so I would adjust for the cost of a new windshield. Remember when I first started looking at ZR1's in 2005 I could find one decent car for less than 25k. Now there are plenty of very nice cars around 20-22k so prices have gone down over time. This will eventually turn around.

Yesterday (Sunday) afternoon on TV I saw a red '95 sold, the last car on the program. Was that a different car from that mentioned above or a rerun of Saturday's auction? it was red, don't know the miles, the announcers were pretty limited on their commentary. It hammered for $45k or $47k, which all-in is $49,500-51,700. I would say all in all, not a bad result. -- Bob
