What's your goal? Original appearance? NCRS competition? Or just prefer GM parts?
My car has a laundry list of aftermarket parts and mods, but few of them are apparent. The average person, or even average Corvette owner would consider the car stock. And every part pulled off the car has been saved. For what I don't know.
Bought it twenty years ago and I'll never paint it, even if the sandy roads around here blast the rocker panels bare. But it's hard to accept the most beautiful Corvette engine ever when the finish is now "Battleship Grey". If it ever comes apart for that 510hp. Haibeck "blueprinting" it will have to be refinished.

The only thing I'd like to do aftermarket is exhaust, to let 'er breath and hear the growl. Even that I am still debating.
On the exhaust, I have tried a half a dozen exhaust systems over the past 20 years and spent most of those years with Corsa. But last year I just got tired of all noise all the time and switched back to stock with electric cutouts and a rocker switch hidden under the carpet. You might consider that. Quiet when you want but any level of loud at other times. And as Bob Eyres suggested, if you are going for more power with something like a Haibeck 510 package, you can keep it looking sufficiently stock that most people would not notice it isn't. I saved all my takeoff parts so someone could put mine back to stock appearance (e.g., manifolds and cats, secondary vacuum pump, etc.) with relatively small investment (Marc Haibeck has done this for a couple of cars).--Bob

Corsa is definitely loud but I love not having any drone on the highway.

Soooo, ah, at 33k what's making you think coils? If it's breaking up or stumbling, I'd be guessing injectors before coils... Very common problem, just went through it myself actually.

BTW - Welcome, thanks for your service, nice to keep one in the family - great story!
That sounds like a car that should be NCRS - just because it *can*.

Cheers,
- Jeff
