In 1967 a corvette l88 was about 6k. The late Buddy Haron sold his last year for 3.2 million. It's not 38 million but its enough for me. Maybe 18k in 1962 was too expensive for most people but 6k in 1967 was affordable. It is the obscure model with unusual and expensive parts that bring the money. how about 1969 ZL1? If the motorcar company makes it difficult to buy and its expensive, then it is a winner. L88 corvettes were difficult to buy since many of them had to be approved by zora duntov to be sold to a particular customer. these models were made to order. If one languished on a showroom floor it was a deal that went bad or a trade in because it drove lousy. There were lots of these cars available in the early 70's for around 3k no problem.
