I've got one of those boxes too, so I would be interested to hear what you learn about it. Car had a lot of work done by VD and it does have 4.10s.

The reason I thought it might be related to the gear swap,is that 4.27's were installed. In 1998,the ratio choices were 3.92,4.09,and 4.27. The new Super 44 ring & pinions weren't available,yet.

Talked with Vette Doctors today.........drum roll please
![]() It's for adjusting the speedo after a gear change.....I was shocked! Clint was right and the best thing about it is they remembered the car. |
