cleaning cylinder heads

Impulse purchased a used set of cylinder heads/cam covers. Was going to clean them well before I store them. Suggestions on how to clean them well by hand? Was going to take some brake cleaner on a rag to the combustion chambers unless someone has a better suggestion. Not going to spend money right now to have them disassembled and steam cleaned right now.

Ports are blocked off.

There was a few drops of coolant under driver's side of plenum. It was right at one of the small ports. What could it mean? Gaskets look fine. There was coolant under the TB cover http://www.zr1.net/forum/attachment....1&d=1381602786 What's that? What's failed there?

Got heat sink paste in the computer box. Do NOT put in on in a 'ring' - that makes an air bubble, which traps air!!!

To the car wash with the plenum. Wear a raincoat. No matter where you stand, the jam has you in the crosshairs when it comes out the other side, along with the carbon & grease jam. A tip; if you're chewin' gum, keep your piehole shut. Nothin' like tartar-control chewin' gum

Every orifice and tube got the nozzle front end. I got the back end .

I use a fine brass wire wheel on shop grinder. Then a brass wire brush adapter on 3/8 inch drill.
