When driving the Z, sometimes there's this metallic rattling or vibration coming from the rear of the car. This tends to happen when I'm in first gear, drag out the shifting, or shift to too high a gear (low RPM). Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this?

maybe your back window. I had a 1992 that made noise in the back and it was the hard top I had in the rear wasnt clipped on correctly. probably when you are in first gear it makes just the right amount of vibration that causes that rattle. check back window.

It is said that early shifting, and allowing the engine to lug, transmits vibration through the DMF, and will break it.
Whether or not this is what you're getting, I wouldn't know here... |
