I've been thinking about your car. Parting out may be the way to go. Too many cars in 15-19k range available with under 40k miles. An unwrecked unflooded unburnt zr1 should add up pretty quickly in parts.

Maybe I'm wrong. At any rate, I'm not in any particular hurry to sell. I really do think the car will only go up in value, but I guess everyone thinks that about their collector car. |

Don't lose the faith, brother.
The value will surely go up........someday. Hard to predict how long that will be. Remember during the oil embargo and big block cars of all makes and models weren't worth a chit and got hauled off to the scrappers? Just like then, our beloved Z's are undervalued now because John Q Public has either forgotten what a leap of technology the mighty LT5 is, or never bothered to learn. All people seem to know now is that "they're hard to find parts for" and "there's nobody that knows how to work on them at the Chevy Dealership". *sigh* 'Crabs |

Keep it, as stated by others it should start appreciating in value soon, I wanted a 1991 Quasar Blue one in 1991 when I was a patrolman but couldn't afford a new one at $69K, settled for a 93 Quasar Blue LT-1 one when I made Detective, 17 years later I found a 1991 Quasar Blue ZR-1 with 56,000 miles on it. I hit the buy button at $22,500 and got my dream car, I have put about $10,000.00 into the motor and still doing upgrades and things to it, restoring carpet next. Love this car, hang on to it it will appreciate.
