Sealing ECM module access after chip swap?
Is this necessary? The gasket is still supple; should it still get additional RTV? Or a film of new dielectric grease?
Is the old chip of use? Should I keep it? Does anyone need one (seems I saw a request for spent modules on Mark H's web page)... Thanks for the help on harness separation..............................

Reusing the gasket is fine. Yes they have value what are you asking for it? Yes Marc I think offers $50 for each module. GC

The locking tabs snapped to vertical (like changing ramsticks in your pc), but they don't snap ONTO the PCB. Is this normal?
Whatever the going rate is for the chip is fine; not a big deal... Mark's snappics don't show the Blue cover re-installed?

Printed Circuit Board / logic board.
No mention of the Blue cover in the text, OR the pics; just seems to make a good seal all the more important... Ok - the old chip doesn't 'write' any old data to the new one? And then get removed???????????

Nothing like showing your own stupidity here; something led me to believe that the OEM chip, piggy-backed onto the new chip, was for writing old data to the new one, for a couple Closed Loop cycles, and then removed.
 No chip for sale; I wanna' drive - not WALK
