Default Sta-bil Fuel Stabilizer

Do any of you use this product? Any concerns before I put this in my tank?

I’ve wanted to get my car out for a good run all winter, but the snow and ice here in Denver has prevented me from doing so. Now, I’m more concerned with the potholes here in the city. I would liken it to driving through a war zone.

I've used it in my boat the last 2 winters. No problems. I guess it's supposed to stop the gas from evaporating and leaving deposits behind. I would think it's a little late to be using it this year

I used it last year, althought the car was in the garage for only 3 months, no problems.

Thanks,
Jerry

I've used it in my "Z" and previous vettes for a number of years. I use it as recommended, in a full tank, and also add 1 can of Heet to boot ( I add the Sta-Bil and Heet at the gas station, then fill the tank for good mixing & drive it home so it reaches the entire system). I do this over the winter months when not in use, although I usually start it and let it run for 45' about once a month.

When that tank gets down to about 1/4 (when I'm driving it again), I then refill the tank and add the recommended amount of Red Line injector cleaner. Thats it, never had any fuel problems with injectors, hoses, deposits, etc.

i ve been using sta-bil in my harley shop for a number of years and im very satisfied with the results...the important thing to remember is to run the engine for a couple of minutes to let the additive reach the entire system
