Question, is it true that if you get pulled over by peace officers, are you supposed to immediatley identify yourself as a concealed carry owner?

Also. Is it true that if carrying a handgun in a car, that there are supposed to be a certain amount of "moves" before you can pull the trigger.
Eg. 1) Open glovebox, 2) remove trigger lock, 3) Load gun
OR
1)Open center console 2) Unholster gun 3) Load gun???

I'm just curious about some of the handgun laws of my neighbours to the South.

I once had a friend that was charged for having the softcase of his shotgun unzipped by about an inch.

Same in Oregon and I think in Washington.
They know you have a permit before approaching the car.
And you're suppose to volunteer the info before being asked.
They are not only completely legal to own down here but with training legal to carry. You just NEVER want to let someone see it unless you're going to use it.

I never get pulled over because I am always very careful to obey all traffic laws.

In Indiana, I don't believe there is language in the carry permit that requires the handgun to be concealed. I have seen non-LEO citizens with open view side-arms in our local diner recently.

And fine by me.

No-one can get a concealed weapons permit in Canada. You can't get an unconcealed one either. You cannot carry a handgun for protection in Canada, period. This is Federal law. Nor can you carry mace.

Thats correct, that WAS the obvious reason. Army Officers would carry their sidearms on base, and of course Peace Officers carry their sidearm.

When I was in the Army, I remember this certain female officer, she would literally stroke her handgun as she walked around. You could tell that she really liked being able to carry it.
