Oil Priming
Can anyone tell me how I can prime the oil pump, gallies, bearings, etc. on an LT5 motor prior to initial startup? The days of spinning the pump with a drill motor and screw driver blade are long gone.

Re: Oil Priming
contact marc haibeck. I believe what he does is unhook one of the lines from the oil cooler and uses a pump to pressurize the system. it's pretty EZ but requires a $50 tool.
he can hook you up. another "not so good" way to do this is to pull the ecm fuse and let the engine turn over without starting. the priming method is much better imho. just don't get the car too full of oil. good luck!!
