Default Whats you winter project going to be?

Lets get past some of the negativity, whats the plan for winter; car projects...upgrades, purchases.....

For Me:

1)finish the Callaway TT; new turbos ported heads, bigger valves....if I have time also build the 100+ intake

2)Rebuild the LT-5 for #966
-port heads
-cams
-unsure on 368.......

Replace the axles - studs are welded in the present ones
Replace the radiator with a 3 core aluminum one

Front shocks, trans and rear axle oil change, also hope to change brake and clutch fluid. Has anybody done this and what brake bleeding tool is best to use?

This year I didn't have the extra cash to buy the tires but should be able to get them next year too.

1- have to change the passenger side front shock, so I might as well do them both.
2-still have the original fuel injectors, will have to change them sooner or later
3- definitly have some electrical issues I'll have to pin down.

  • You can have your front shocks rebuilt by Bilstien $55 ea I think
  • Trans - Castrol 10W60 -You can only get it from BMW dealer, change at 10k to 12k intervals. Make sure to take the fill plug out first. ZFDoc has the best prices on the fill and drain plugs. Doesn't hurt to have a couple laying around just in case. www.zfdoc.com
  • Rear axle - I used Mobil 1 synthetic with a bottle (4 oz) of posi lube
  • Phoenix without question for the clutch and brakes, one man job.

If you have the time, send them to Bilstein, $55, Lifetime warranty I think

Call Jon at Fuel Injector Connection, I've had his rebuilt injectors in over three years now, no problems at all.

C6Z or GS brakes in front. That means Brembos would be available.
