Don't fret over this part. It's used on lots of other GM cars. I accidentally broke mine the other day while changing my serpentine belt and discovered that my local Advance Auto Parts store (and also AutoZone) had these senders in stock for a bit over $25. I bought one, put it in, and all is fine again.

Installed the new sensor yesterday. Worked like a charm. I'll have to see what the normal operating range is. It's in the 70 range to start, but then backs off after a few minutes.

I've found that aftermarket senders may not jive 100% with the calibration of OEM senders, but since we're talking about relatively inaccurate OEM gauges here, it's really not a significant difference. The main thing is to know what's "normal" for that particular sender.
