Wonder how that extra force affects the wear on cam and lifters. Of course, it's all roller and maybe you don't need the spring pressures needed on 2V motor.

those heads on an LSX454 would be interesting in a ZR-1 if your LT5 takes a dump on you.

Yes and the power curve looks to reach 700hp on it too

I have a dumb Q: Why does the torque curve fall off so quickly after the intersect point with the HP curve? Or am I just too used to looking at a DOHC graph????

I mean the HP curve is still on an upward slope, I would have thought that there would be a plateau period for the torque curve before it started to fall off?

Obviously I am missing something, I just don't understand what. I just think for the price the torque curve would have less of a fall off?

I'm no expert as to the "why" on that engine but I can tell you from my own learning experiences (and observation on this curve) that a few things hold.
One is that the cross point is really irrelevant since the things plotted are on a different scale. (obvious but needed saying)
Two is that the curves appear different than what we see because the top end (rpm) is so much higher. If you crop the pic to only show up to 6 or 7k (if stock our cars make peak power at about 5800rpm) then the curve looks more normal.
Three the appearance of torque roll off with HP still climbing is normal. If you plot a curve with a flat torque line throughout the rpm range the HP will keep climbing (nature of HP) therefore a downward torque curve does not necessarily mean HP will go down. Depends on the slope of the torque curve.
