Doing some work on my LT5

Back to my question from last week, what do others do with the shape of the plenum where I have drawn the red arrows below? Is it best to leave these circular from the front face right through to where it opens out into inside the plenum, or is it better to taper it out or bellmouth the opening??

Also, what about the casting for throttle body coolant and EGR bolt (in red circle and 2 red ellipses in the other picture). Is it worth removing these? It looks to me like they would be causing a restriction to the front cylinder - especially on one side.

Any feedback would be helpful.
