Automatic Trans
Just got new batch of tail housings for 4L80E trans.
For those who want an automatic in there Z the way to go is 4L80E. This tailhousing bolts to the trans and use your stock driveshaft and C-beam. $649+shipping and it's made here in the USA. Thanks Pete P.S. Please don't post the other guys tailhousing. With their tailhousing you have to change the output shaft to the smaller 700R4/4L60 (27 spline) shaft, with mine you use the stock 31 spline shaft. You don't have to modify the trans. Chevy/GM had a reason for putting 31 splines in our Z's. Merry Christmas

Re: Automatic Trans
I will definitely be doing this swap, but right now, I have too many projects going on with the car.
Are all 4l80E trannies created equal? if not, which would be the best one for our cars, shift performance wise. Thanks

Let me know when your ready. I'm no trans expert,i would talk to a trans guy to get more info. All i can say is i had good luck with Art Carr and Finish Line Transmission. Call Art Carr for more input. Pete
