Is the adapter hardware for the C4 pricey? Because for $2k you could buy all brand-new GM calipers, pads, and rotors shipped. Used should be considerably less than that.

I've been keeping an eye on them because I have a friend with a C6 in the market for them.

To the OP, it is the 14" rotor diameter and the fact that your wheels are only 17" in diameter that makes them unlikely to work. Not any kind of spoke to caliper clearance.

$500 alone for the rear hub needed for the emergency brake. Front adapters are about $150 to $200.

Need different SS lines, rotors, calipers, pads, etc etc etc.

Ask Ricky... VERY pricey!

C5 / C6 brake upgrade is the best for the $$$$$ and looks great!

Did we ever finalize a status on using the CTS-V or Camaro brakes?

The C6 ZO6 fronts were a staight forward set up, simple adapter. I bought the new front calipers & rotors form a forum member for $450.00 shipped from VA. (great deal) The rears I had to pay small discount retail, I beleive $600.00 cals & rotors. Hawks pads, extra as well as new SS lines. The rear hub adapter was another $600.00 + & I needed to get some new C5 e-brake cables to make it work. Once I put the fronts on I had no choice but to step up and do the rears(the caliper was to small sitting in the wheel) I am more than happy with the final result eventhough it cost me a little more coin. Like Dom I run the OEM ZO6 wheels. I will be at Carlisle on Friday morning if you want to take a look

So you run an 18" wheel? I plan to run my massive Dymag GenII's 17x11 front and 17x13 rear wheels. I think my max size rotor is a 13"??? Right????

Probably do the C5 Z06 calipers with adapters and anything else I need to make it work. It would be nice to have a parts list of everything I need to make this setup work before I go to Carlisle. Anyone have a quick list?

So far as I know, the list is:

C5/C6 Calipers
C5(C6?) Abutment Brackets
C4/C5 Adapter Brackets
C5/C6 Rotors
C5/C6 pads

Thanks

Dave

Phil, are you running a 17" wheel or 18"". If I run a 17" wheel, what is the largest diameter rotor I can run? 13" ???

So, can I run a C6 caliper with a 17" wheel. If so, what size rotor am I limited to running???

They do look sweet Phil, just so everyone knows they are C6 brakes that came off a Z51 option car. I was told at the time that they were a small improvement over the C5 ZO6 & stock C6. when I had to order the Baer 2 peice rotors, I had to specify Z51 brakes. Hope this little bit of info is helpful. Phil will need all the stopping power he can get after he puts in his WAZOO monster motor
