define overheated. stock gm fan temp doesn't turn on until 228 degrees or so, but that can be programmed in the chip to come on sooner (along with the settings for more hp). hopefully you don't have a chip and that can be remedied along with the normal cooling system service.

Congrats on the car again. Marc Haibeck will be great to work with in helping sort out the "new" ride. Glad you made it to the site, these guys have helped me a lot with my car. Now I know next year I will have a partner to attend the Gathering with!

A new DeWitts radiator was installed in my ZR-1 just before I acquired it. I have no high temp issues and it works great here in hot & humid Florida.
I also dream/plan on sending my car to Marc Haibeck one day. It just seems to me like that's the ultimate upgrade for our cars today (for the non-do-it-yourselfer). I've read a few posts about it on here but mostly looked through his website. Would anyone who has had their ZR-1 upgraded through Haibeck share their experience, thoughts, drive comments, etc. about their ZR-1 for us here? I'd love to learn more about it. Thanks! |
