Default Exhaust Question>>>

Installing new exhaust this weekend and want to know if I should use the exhaust pipe sealant (Permatex Tailpipe Sealer) on the area noted with a red arrow in this pic>>

Of course will use at the pipe to pipe and pipe to cans connections (installing Corsa)

Thanks

i didn't use any anywhere, but I want to be able to get it off again (easily), pretty soon when I install headers. That, and I didn't know such a product was necessary anyway. Mine is working fine without it, but maybe it would have helped the muffler from twisting a little once I drove it. Straightened it out and leaned on the clamo a little more and no problems so far.

It's not a bad idea to throw some of that copper permatex on there. Gas can of course squeeze through pretty small spaces, and a thin coat of the permatex won't hurt anything and is easy to remove.

Post Anit-Seize...

I lightly sand down both the male & female flanges to take off any burrs or scratches for a good seal, then I use Kopr Kote (Anti-Seize) lightly on the flange & bolts. Works good. Doesn't act as a sealer of coarse, but helps the flanges find their mate to each other & of coarse long term helps for coming apart. I'm even a little surprised your putting exhaust on Michael...
