I can pretty much guarantee that she's not interested in spending "Her Weekend" with a bunch of car nuts. *sigh* Now, if it's scheduled any other time, COUNT ME IN!! TomC 'Crabs

Re: Attention all California ZR-1s.
This is still in the very early thought process so any suggestion anybody might have Im all ears.Doesnt have to be at a Good Guys show just thought if I got in touch with these guys they might reserve a small spot for us,ZR-1s,unique cars, rare bla bla.Just a stretch on the reserve but its good for a shot.Santa Cruz is another option for a location.I really dont want to drive any distance to get -THERE- so since nobody has done this yet Ill make it a little close.Within a 100 mile radius of me there might be 35+ cars,2 in San Jose, one in Livermore and some that we might be able to pull out of the wood work.Who knows, this might be an annual deal but this is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to early in the thought process to think in that direction.Let do it and see what happens.

Mount Hamilton is an awesome drive all the way to the top of the observatory and down the backside. I wore out a set of tires on my Suzuki GSXR1100 in one trip. Nothing but hair pin turns and steep drop offs. Ah the memories. There's nothing like that here in Texas. I miss Santa Cruze also.

It looks like June 4 is the only show that would work,August is for Pre 72 cars and the November show it too late in the season.

Re: Attention all California ZR-1s.
Yep. 0-60mph in 2.0 sec top speed of 190mph. This was mine.
There is a such thing as to fast for the street an this was it. I had it 6 months and wrecked on it. I was in the hospital 3 months. Broken wrist with 6 titanium pins drilled into it. Knee cap ripped out of my leg. That was the last time I got on another rice rocket. At 23 years old I was just to young and full of testosterone to handle it and it almost killed me. I vowed that I would never do that to my ZR-1. 4 years later so far so good. Last edited by rhipsher; 01-03-2011 at 11:52 AM. |
