Thanks! One of the main reasons I bought it was because of the hood and wheels. It just has that look.

Thanks Tom! I can't wait to start enjoying it. Maybe we will all get together one day. As an FYI I have a 74 roadster as well.

There have been a small number if Tt zr-1s done. Don't waste your time or money. Just enjoy her as she is a Tt set up is going to require a second mortgage on your house

Try it like it is first. There is something really neat about a high Revving Naturally Aspirated Motor! If you have a "Need", the guys in your neck of the woods are making a neat & affordable 380 cube Stroker by offset grinding the Stock Cranks & using 4" Sleeves, no drama & complexities. Congrats & Welcome! Tim

Well Tony, I start my 3 week vaca today and planning on going out to the Vert (which is an hour away) just about everyday. There is alot to be done, but I am really looking forward to it. I intended to strip and repaint, but I don't think that will happen. I am anxious to get it back together and have it running once again.
Need to know more about your 74 restoration whenever you get time.
On a side note, took the ZR-1 out early this AM......what an absolute blast to drive...... Tom

Thanks Kevin! Wonder what would make it so expensive? Maybe even a single? I'd build most of it myself. Tuning would be the worst part I'd assume.

Thanks Tim! I'm going to check the health of the current motor and if it's not good, I may have to go that route.

Well Tom you have me very scared now........I feel like we are related somehow as I am doing the mechanicals and a general cleanup on my 74. I had thought about paint but decided against it for the same reasons. Oh yea, I took my Z out this morning as well! First time I have had it out and I have more questions than answers

My 74 is an L82 car with air that my Dad bought in 1975. I actually picked it out. Originally red with silver leather, it's now black because of the Miami Vice Ferarri in the 80's. We painted it together in about 86-87. The car only has 64k on it and while it's far from perfect it will be pretty fun when done. With my daughter here i am done with high end projects. Good luck on your project and let's see some pics and info when you have time.
