Re: C7 ZR1 Registry members
Chuck, I have not been looking at this section as I am normally just on the C4 ZR-1 section, but I sold my last ZR-1, a '95 Polo Green/Tan, in 2016 to order my 2016 C7 Z06. I know, it is not a ZR-1 but it still is a very capable C7 and not all that different from the ZR1s, so I thought I would add mine to the group. While I miss the ZR-1s, I love my C7. I have taken three long (2,500+ mile) trips, including one with my car-hating wife and even she was happy in it. 22,000 miles on it and now shod with Michelin A/S 3+ ZPs. One of a very small number ordered with Body Colored Vents. I still have lunch with Marc Haibeck every month or so and stay involved with the ZR-1 group but I do enjoy the C7 and currently don't have any plans to get a C8. Unless I win one of the NCM raffles. So far I have just made donations however. Loved going to Spring Mountain two day Ron Fellows driving school courtesy of the GM discount. And I even added a "Z06" emblem to the back of the car to mimic the way the C4 ZR-1 did it. I guess over 20 + years with ZR-1s I just got used to the look. --Bob
