I'm just curious about some of the handgun laws of my neighbours to the South.
I once had a friend that was charged for having the softcase of his shotgun unzipped by about an inch.

Same in Oregon and I think in Washington.
They know you have a permit before approaching the car.
And you're suppose to volunteer the info before being asked.
They are not only completely legal to own down here but with training legal to carry. You just NEVER want to let someone see it unless you're going to use it.
