Tuning
I ordered the apu1 tuning kit through moates.net and when I went to pull my memcal today it says z-ind race program. Is it still ok to piggyback this chip with the g1 adapter?

Yes. But you'll need a calibration for the APU to run the motor with. So you should read the cal off the Z-IND prom and download it into the APU for emulation. You'll use the APU to read the cal but in order to do that you need header pins to insert into the prom and then place it into the APU. Also need TProRT

Re: Tuning
Great. This tunerpro/obd1 tuning stuff is much different than the obd2 plug and play stuff im used to.. I'm now trying to figure out the bin and definition files. Any input on that? 90 zr-1 1228331 auah

Re: Tuning
I guess I need an explanation on specifically how to get started. I know how to tune, just no instructions really on how to get everything ready I suppose.

Re: Tuning
Hey Guys,
I can't wait to learn this stuff myself one day. It sounds like a foreign language, but I know this is key to getting individual cars running just right. This would be an awesome workshop to have at the Gathering one day. "Tuning 101" Aloha, Craig

Re: Tuning
Jeff,
I've looked at the auah bin w both 8E and 8EA. The correct mask is EA. Would you send me your .xdfs and bin files for the 90? Which is the broadcast code for the $8E bin?

Re: Tuning
I'm still not able to get download from the gearheads website. Says I need to verify but I never received the email for it..
Anyway, there are 3 things that show up in tunerpro rt that I was trying to clarify. adx, xdf, and bin. Is it possible to grab the tune from the z-industries chip I have? |
