Agree with Pete that soldering is a permanent solution, but the G1 should not cause issues if installed correctly..
Securing the "piggyback" assembly if it came loose is a 5 minute repair... you can add a dab of silicone (for electronics) to help if the G1 to MEMCAL is not tight. Attachment 13587

The repair was indeed easy. It was the troubleshooting done ineptly by the first mechanic that was the issue.
