PO seems to have done a bondo repair of some damage to the rear quarter just over the left rear wheel. The bondo repair has failed and a crack is beginning to present in the paint.

Don't fear the plenum pull at all. I did, but ultimately it was a very easy job. I probably should have done more while I was in there, but it was easy enough that I stuck with the most pressing...

Tightened everything up, new solenoid installed (in old frame), new gaskets, topped off coolant, runs like a dream! In my case, someone had already put stiffeners in the accordian.

Thank you! Part ordered!

I found some other things to tighten and clean up while in there, so the plenum pull will have been well worth it.

Leaking pcv cover, lose injector housing...

Seems pn 1997222 is out of production and out of stock...

Did I read there is a near twin to this part with a different bracket...

My secondaries started acting up with the heat lately.


They work fine when cold, then after warm-up (anywhere from 5 miles to 20 miles) they stop functioning.

I read a little about this and was thinking c5 z06 because they offer plenty braking but at way more afforable than new c6 parts. Have not priced used c6 z06 parts but im sure good deals show up...

You can buy a sniffer off amazon for $50 or less. No gurantees, but could help you find your leak. Mine was the high side schrader valve.

Thats exactly what my 1990 zr1 is doing. If i can get it to stay on, it will run solid for abut 10 minutes and you could hang meat in it its so cold. Not sure what mine is charged with though. ...
