I had the same concern on my 90 #277 where the masking tape is 873. Checked the VIN stamp on frame of clear roof and it matches to car. The tape sticker should match the Build Sequence...

Eric, so I would find a person with a 92-95 and the build sheet. It will list the Springs by the letter codes which should be helpful. BTW, does your 90 have an AA front spring?

The cars were shipped with some kind of paint sealant applied and the there was a label on the car to remove it. A bottle of some kind of liquid was provided to remove it. No clue what it was.
