Did you get pinging with the 92 so far ?
If you dont hear it when you're running hot n going up the hill on high gear, you will be ok
Knock sensor may be taking care of it....

Take the rod bolts out of the equation.
When they go, THEY REALLY GO.....

Starter in ZR1s lives in a HOT environment
Have the starter heated by a blow drier while it's out of the car
You'll find out if it is windings or starter selenoid ....etc

Call DISCOUNT TIRE or TIRE RACK here in the US n ask if the new F1s have the E mark....or i will call for you

I have those F1 Good Year tires on my 95 ZR1 here in NYC in the ZR1 sizes front n rear
I just went to the garage n looked for those E4 or E11 markings
Mine don't have them but will take...

4.10 n even 4.33 will slow down the tires enough to hook easier....n multiply the car's power accordingly

Run a timing light on all wires n see if you can visualize the miss at idle in a dark garage

I did the starter thing 2 weeks ago on my 95 ...sticky starter selennoid n was not engaging starter gear
Sorry to tell you the bad news but manifold n coil packs have to come off to get to starter...

You have the right idea about bumping comp. but unless you mill the "215"s ALOT you will not see a point
