Seat track transmission rebuild kit
 

I installed the 5 piece C4 seat transmission rebuild kit today. $19.95 from Amazon. Went ok until I discovered the parts would not snap into the aluminum case by 3/32 inch. The 6 blind holes for the shafts were too shallow. I drilled out the plastic till the shafts laid in place. Got it all back together and tested with a drill. I have 4 hours into it. I took it apart to evaluate the brokenness before ordering the kit. BTW on eBay there is a kit for $120.00 with many more pieces if needed. If I can do it others out there can also. Got to get it in the Z to head out to MR11 Sunday morning. I hope it holds up.

Congratulations Steve. Salute your resolve and talent. My driver side was acting up for rear up and down movement. Took the 3 motor module apart and had a heck of a time putting it back together. Since driver side was working partially, switched with passenger side after adjusting the rear height with a drille, and magically got it to work. Strange but too happy to ask how it started to work properly. Reinstalled and all?s been well ever since.

The replacement small gear for front rear movement stripped with my weight in seat. Worked on bench but not in the field. I will install the $120 kit in the future and report on it.
