Clicking noise with ignition on
1991 ZR-1
When I turn the ignition on but don't start there is a steady clicking noise. I tried to locate source but no luck yet. It appears to continue for as long as the ignition is on. Insights?? Thanks |
Re: Clicking noise with ignition on
What general area is the sound coming from?

Re: Clicking noise with ignition on
Does your power antenna work? could be slipping
Maybe a plenum door in the HVAC system? You could start pulling fuses to see if you can isolate the system. |
Re: Clicking noise with ignition on
Might your battery be discharged?
If below a certain voltage various things cycle on and off making such a noise. Get your battery charged and tested, then let us know if it is still going on. Marty |
Re: Clicking noise with ignition on
If the bushings in the headlight motors have turned to dust the motors will run continuously making an odd noise.
Try turning on the headlights, if they don't rotate, theres your smoking gun. 'Crabs |
