Garman C330 GPs
I am looking at buying this for a cross country trip. I dawned on me that the ZR1 special windshield may interfer with it's operation. Does anybody have any experience with this?

Re: Garman C330 GPs
I have no direct knowledge but my EZPass would not work consistantly so I had to get the one mounted on the license plate. Also, my apt complex got a new Transmitter/reciever system for the garage doors and the remote works thru any part of the windshield....go figure?
Maybe a stick on antenna for the hatch glass & run the wire over the weather strip, it seems to be soft enough not to have a problem?? Good luck on the trip & have fun!  Tom |

Re: Garman C330 GPs
I drove last October from Seattle to Las Vegas and back while using a Garmin Palm Pilot. Worked fine the entire trip. I had the clear roof installed at the time, so that may have helped getting a signal inside the car. There were a few times that the signal strength dropped down, but never really affected the performance.
You can see in the picture where my "co-pilot" had it mounted. http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r96/4dszr1/15.jpg |

Thanks guys! I got it. It should get here next week. Now I have to come up with a way to keep everything hooked up to power. Phone, detector and GPS. Oh the fun we have.

Re: Garman C330 GPs
I have a Garmin GPSMAP 496 and it didn't recieve a quality signal until i place a remote antena in the clear opening at the front of the dash. But my GPS does not stick to the window like some of the ones already talked about
