Re: UUUGGHHHH!!!!
ah believe it or not, that repair is not too bad..
You don't need to take the whole front of the motor off to get the the pump |
Re: UUUGGHHHH!!!!
Yep, did that job, not too bad. Save yourself some aggravation, use the new pump to make up a cardboard template for all the bolts. Make re-installation a snap.

Yeah I know, just bad timing and I like to whine!
Recently picked up a 95 Tahoe for a project to tinker on and the water pump issue just adds crap to my list.;) Good news is, she just got a nice little birthday gift that will keep her occupied until I get her ZR-1 done! http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...D/DSCN1040.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...D/DSCN1042.jpg http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/q...D/DSCN1043.jpg |
Re: UUUGGHHHH!!!!

Re: UUUGGHHHH!!!!
Went through 3 waterpumps on my wifes 330I back in the day....bad design, weight of the impeller causes bearing failure.......I think newer ones went to electric
If anyone needs the WP tool for the E46 let me know |

The WP on the LT5 is not bad at all I used the swap as a chance for my OCD self to clean up the front of the motor, radiator, radiator shroud, steering rack, and other misc. things. Daniel |
