What is with the 12 degrees of movement on the DM ? |
Re: Clutch Parts: OEM
He had examples of what a bad DM looked like...
1)They will clank/rattle or knock as there is a bearing in the center that goes 2)Warpage..which is easily to find I asked about what the average movement is for a DM and he said a nomrally functioning DM will have about 12 degrees of play in it. Also told me why there are no more pressure plates, apparently Valeo moved manufacturing to South America and the factory went belly up anf the hat molds were lost.....so no more, only cheap ones from China... |
Re: Clutch Parts: OEM
If you buy something, tell them Lee from the Registry sent you......he does parts development...maybe he will do some ZR-1 focus if we show an interest.

Re: Clutch Parts: OEM
My experience with DM's is that knock ,rattle is common. This occurs during very very early shifting or lugging the drive train. Some of the noise may be coming from the trans. Although mine was totally done by Billy B.

Stood and talked to Jim for about 45 minutes myself. Very knowledgeable, learned a lot listening to him. Plus, he's a racer and has a lot of real world experience with what he speaks about. Great guy and a great source of info and parts.=D>
