Default Some mistake with the "report" system?

I noticed I have two emails from the registry forum software, saying someone has reported posts.

I don't doubt the mail is valid or the posts were spammy. What I don't get is why they were emailed to me? I'm not an admin or a moderator. Is something wonky going on with the system? Or did someone accidentally change the status of my account?

The mail looks like this:
Quote:
XYZ has reported this post:

<spammy post title> @
http://zr1netregistry.com/forum/showthread.php?p=70594#post70594

This is part of this thread:
<spammy thread title> @
http://zr1netregistry.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9698

This is the reason that the user gave:
spammer

These are the email notices all moderators and admin receive when a post is reported. For some reason the notifications are going out to many other forum members as well. It is a glitch in the system we are trying to figure out, so just disregard any other notices you may receive of this nature.
