Default Body moldings

I have a stupid question...it concerns the molding for the door and that small, short piece of molding in front of the rear wheel well.

Are those parts specific to a ZR-1, or are they the same as a non-ZR-1 car?

TIA

Tom

These pieces are referred to as rear quarter moldings are specific to ZR-1s and replacements are about as easy to find as dragon's teeth.
They are prone to fall victim exiting pant pockets.

The ZR-1 part is about 5/16" shorter than the L98 car's. You might be able to adapt the L98 part ...

I measured both cars' drivers side doors at the bottom of the molding and they're both 50-7/8" long. Given that the ZR-1 door begins to flare outward about half-way back, I expected the ZR-1 molding to be slightly longer, but now I'm not sure. Check part numbers with GM to be sure.

Thanks guys for your input!

Guess I'll have to do some digging beyond the parts CD that I have. The body section illustrations indicate that the P/N's between the std C4 & our cars are different on one set of illustrations vs another set of illustrations. These damn 90's are a PIA!

I have a L98 Rear 1/4 ,molding on the driverside and the ZR-1 on passengerside

yes the L98 is a touch longer, but you would never notice it. I have the original damaged DS one I need to fix.

As for the doors, I am thinking my DS Door has L98 molding cause it is not full length, I will need to check again and will check my parts book

Jeff, I really do thank you for taking time to post up your findings!

The only parts illustrations source that I have is the CD I got from Limey and it usually is very helpful. However the body section seems a bit contradictory where the 90's are covered in two separate pages and I get two seperate answers to the W/ZR1 vs w/o zr1 moldings.

I was just trying to help Lou ( louispf ) out as some one hit his driver's door and took out that small 1/4 molding infront of the rr wheel and nailed the door molding badly & made a hole in the door skin.
