Default Jerry's Gaskets

Just want to add another big thumbs up for Jerry

I ordered an oil pan gasket and oil pickup seal that just arrived. The quality of the gasket is fantastic and the packaging was top-class to protect it from any possible damage in the post.

Thanks Jerry, you're providing a truly first-rate service to everyone!

I agree with that his service and products are top of the line

I only wish he starts to make all the rubber stuff for the vacuumsystem and PCV system because that is what nearly every lt5 needs

Dave,
Very glad that you are satisfied. I appreciate your complimentary post. Thanks for being a customer!

John,
I may take a shot at a group purchase for the following, when the Dipstick Tube Seal group purchase is done. :

PN 10153503 Connector, PCV Valve
PN 10122196 Hose, PCV

Those are the top & bottom pieces for the PCV valves at the rear of the engine. There is a nice, high quality, silicone piece available in the aftermarket but it is expensive. I would obtain quotes for Buna-N (same as the OEM part) and also Viton. I would like to improve the quality but still stay at a reasonable cost.

My personal experience with failure of the hose, indicates that heat plays a significant role in failure. Buna-N is the best material for chemical resistance, but only good to 250F. Viton is OK for chemical resistance but good to 400F. My 94 ZR-1 was a daily driver with abt 60K miles. The hose was rotted only on the side towards the engine. The back side towards the firewall was still solid.

Most of the remaining rubber parts for the PCV & vacuum system are available or have acceptable work-arounds. If there is a part I am overlooking, send me a photo or GM Part No.

Thanks again,

Jerry, everything about the transaction was A1 - goods, delivery, service. Much appreciated.

Just my thoughts on the PCV stuff and cost/quality. I'd personally rather have a better part and pay a bit more. I appreciate that it's always a difficult trade off though.

I was also impressed with the extra attention paid to packaging my TB gasket to ensure it arrived perfect.

Have you thought about making them for 63mm TB's though? I hate hand trimming gaskets because I suck at it. There's about a 20% chance I ruin it when doing stuff like that.

Jerry. I think that a group purchase on those items would be a hit. I for sure would buy them

I dont have a # or photo available but how about that L-shaped one under the plenum that I think is for the secondary solenoid

I have thought about doing 63mm TB gaskets, but the sales quantity of TB gaskets hasn't been high enough to expand to the 63mm option yet. Maybe later. I have a 63mm TB, so it would be nice!

There is a plan to do the full, rectangular siamesed plenum gaskets. Due to the variations between shape, size & location of the final port, it will be designed with more meat on the sides and undersized on the ports, still requiring final trimming to match perfectly.
